Arrive Auckland

Kia ora / Welcome to New Zealand
Arrive in Auckland – the “City of Sails”, the
largest city of NZ. You will be picked from
airport and transported to hotel for check-in
If time allows and you’re feeling up to it, can
head out for a short trail walk or a quick city
tour. Have a relax evening at Viaduct Harbour
& enjoy world class cuisine

Visit Hidden Gems of Auckland & Bay of islands

Muruwai beach, is one of New Zealand’s most stunning west-coast
beaches, known for its dramatic black-sand shoreline , rugged
cliffs, and the famous gannet colony. A short 10-minute walk on a
well-maintained cliff -top path takes you to viewing platforms.
Australasian gannets migrate to NZ for breeding between July and
October, the peak season runs from late spring to early autumn.
Time required (8.30am-11 am).


We start our journey to bay of islands. On the way we visit beautiful
Whagarei waterfall . Travel time Appx. 2 hours (1 60 km) to
Whagarei. Take a short, well -maintained loop track of about 30
minutes to reach to Whagarei watefall.
Take quick lunch at Whagarei.

After lunch will head to Paihia. Distance 75 km.

Stops :
Kawakawa Hundertwasser Toilets.
A famous, colourful public toilet designed by artist Friedensreich
Hundertwasser. Unique architecture and great quick photo stop

Haruru Falls
Haruru Falls is a small but scenic waterfall located near Paihia in
New Zealand’s Bay of Islands, within the Northland Region. Its
unique horseshoe shape and cultural significance make it one of
the most visited natural attractions in the area.

Arrive in Paihai and check in to the hotel . Nestled between lush
green hills and the turquoise waters of the Bay of Islands, Paihia
is both scenic and peaceful .Freshen up and relax. Head out to
explore the beautiful town. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Note - this route takes you via the Northern Gateway toll road.
You can prepay this toll at the booths clearly signposted on the
northern highway. If you miss the booths you can also pay by
logging onto www.tollroad.govt.nz.

Cape Reinga, Sand dunes, 90 miles, iconic Kauri & more

Embark on a journey to the northernmost tip of New Zealand —
Cape Reinga—via the iconic 90 Mile BeachAt Cape Reinga, where
the land ends, watch as the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean collide
in a mesmerizing dance of swirling currents. In Maori mythology,
the Cape holds a special place. The Maori name of Te Rerenga
means departing place of spirits. The spirits of the dead follow the
curve of a ninety-mile beach heading north to the cape where they
leap from a pohutukawa branch.
On the way back enjoy the thrill of sandboarding down the
towering dunes. You could visit Gumdiggers park where ancient
Kauri forest was buried thousands of years ago. A giant 100,000
year old Kauri tree has been exposed for viewing and is part of a
vast forest buried beneath Gumdiggers Park.
Enjoy a full-day journey covering 300 km one way—choose to self-
drive at your own pace or sit back and relax on a comfortable bus
tour.

Explore Marine Life, Islands & Timeless History

The Bay of Islands is a subtropical micro -region made up of 144
islands known for its stunning beauty and history. This region
boasts an abundance of marine life, which includes whales,
dolphins, penguins, fur seals and a large variety of sea birds.
Board your cruise and take in the stunning views as you glide out
through the islands and along the Peninsula to Cape Brett, where a
historic lighthouse keeps watch over and Piercy
Island/Motukō kako, or as it is popularly known as the Hole in the
Rock. If conditions permit, your skipper will expertly guide the
ship through the narrow space.
This tour is of 4.5 hours. Starts at 9 and back to Paihia by 2 pm.
Have lunch, checkout to head back to Auckland.
After lunch drive to Waitangi treaty grounds. Reach before 4 pm.
Located 2km from Paihia is the historically significant town of
Waitangi. Waitangi is one of New Zealand's most historic sites
where the Treaty of Waitangi was signed in 1840 between the local
Maori and the British Government. Take a guided tour to d iscover
the stories, people and events that have shaped the past, present
and future of New Zealand.

Auckland → Coromandel Peninsula

Stop 1 – Miranda Shorebird Centre
Distance: 90 km Time: 1hr 20 min Time Needed: 30–40 minutes
Why stop:
• Excellent coastal wetlands
• Chance to see migratory birds like the Bar-tailed Godwit
• Easy short nature walk along the mudflats

Stop 2 – Thames (Coffee / Lunch Stop)
Drive: Miranda → Thames
Distance: 25 km Time: 25 minutes Time Needed: 30–40 minutes
This historic gold-mining town is the gateway to the coromandel.
Things to do:
• Walk along the waterfront
• Grab lunch or coffee
• Visit Thames Coastal Walkway

Stop 3 – Coromandel Scenic Coastal Drive
Distance: 55 km Time: 1.5 hrs
Highlights:
• One of the most scenic drives in New Zealand
• Coastal cliffs, forest hills, and ocean views
• Many roadside photo stops

Stop 4 – Cathedral Cove Walk
Drive: Continue to Cathedral Cove (near Hahei)
From parking:
• Walk distance: 2.5 km each way
• Walk time: 45 min each way
Why visit:
• One of New Zealand’s most iconic beaches
• Famous rock arch and turquoise water
Recommended time: 2 hours total





Stop 5 – Hot Water Beach
Drive: Cathedral Cove → Hot Water Beach
Distance: 10 km Time: 10-15 min Time Needed: 45–60 minutes

Unique experience:
• Dig a hot pool in the sand during low tide
• Natural geothermal hot water rises from underground

Overnight in: Coromandel or if want to compressed the
itinerary drive to Hamilton for overnight stay.

Glow warm caves and Hobbitton

Waitomo : Time needed 4 hours. (Book morning session)
Journey to the Waitomo Caves, one of New Zealand’s most magical
natural wonders. Deep underground in the heart of the Waikato are
a series of unique caves that will take your breath away.

Stop 1: Mangapohue Natural Bridge, near Te Anga.
A limestone bridge archway which consists of two rock arches
formed by the Mangapohue Stream in the Marokopa River. Walking
time: 30 minutes return.

Stop 2 : Marokopa Falls
Close to the bridge, there is another natural treasure the Marokopa
Falls. Enjoy a short bush walk through lush native forest leading
to the falls, often described as one of the most beautiful waterfalls
in New Zealand, it cascades gracefully over a 35 -metre drop,
surrounded by lush native forest. Time needed 30 mins

Stop 3 : Waitomo caves
Journey to the Waitomo Caves, one of New Zealand’s most magical
natural wonders. Deep underground in the heart of the Waikato are
a series of unique caves that will take your breath away.
Stop 4: Hobbitton Matamata
After caving adventure, will drive to Matamata for a charming tour
of unique, character Hobbit homes, gardens and the watering hole
just as you see in the movies. You will be on 2.5 hours fully guided
tour of Hobbitton. For that we need to leave waitomo latest by 1
pm to arrive at Matamata by 3 pm latest. Will Carry packed lunch
with us as wont have time to stop for lunch. Our guided tour
finishes by 6.30 pm.
Back to Hamilton and relax

Rotorua, the Land of Fire - bubbling mud pools and

geothermal beauty
Enjoy the scenic journey to Rotorua, distinguished by bubbling
mud pools and geothermal beauty Maori culture.
Visit either Te puia or Wai-o-Tapu gyzers, depending on your
interest. Te Puia offers a unique blend of geothermal wonders
and rich Mā ori cultural experiences. Wai-O-Tapu is known for its
vibrant and colorful geothermal features.
Later you will visit Redwood forest. The Redwoods Treewalk is a
700 metre long walkway that consists of a series of 28 suspension
bridges traversing the gaps between 27 majestic 120 -year-old
Redwood trees. Majestic and magical, the Redwoods
Treewalk™ experience is truly a walk to remember.
Later we visit another exciting place in Rotorua. The Agrodome is
one of New Zealand's must -see attractions, open in any weather,
365 days a year!! Get up close and personal with a range of furry
friends on the Agrodome Farm Tour. Get ready for a fun -packed
hour of entertainment and education for the whole family, i t's the
legendary Agrodome Farm Show!
Visit Rotorua lake in the evening to enjoy cool breeze and scenic
lookout. Back to Hamilton.
This is the end of our north island tour. We fly out to south island
on following day.

Fly to Christchurch

Pick up rental car from the airport and drive to the motel. Settle in
and take some time to refresh. Get ready to visit the International
Antarctic Centre — a popular attraction often described as a must-
see for families. The centre offers engaging exhibits and
interactive experiences for all ages. The simulation of an Antarctic
storm, with its cold temperatures and wind, is a memorable and
educational exp erience. In the evening, take a relaxing stroll
through Hagley Park, one of the largest urban open spaces in New
Zealand, known for its beautiful gardens, walking trails, and
peaceful atmosphere.

Alternatively, unwind at your motel and have a relax evening.

Visit Milford sound, Te Anau

One of the most sc enic routes in New Zealand is drive
from Queenstown to Milford , which takes approximtely
4.5-5 hours one way . The journey is truly breathtaking,
showcasing why Fiordland is recognized as a World
Heritage Site. Driving to Milford Sound at your own pace
can be an incredibly rewarding experience, offering
flexibility and the chance to take in the dramatic
landscapes along the way. However, the trip does come
with its challenges, so it's essential to plan your journey
carefully. Alternatively, you can choose to travel by bus or
coach to Milford sounds and back

Visit skyline gondola to soak in breathtaking panoramic views of
Lake Wakatipu, the charming town of Queenstown, and the
majestic, snow -capped peaks that tower above. A truly
unforgettable alpine experience awaits.
You can also opt for jet boating if little adventures . Hop on a jet
boat and zoom through the Shotover River’s narrow canyons!

Arthur’s Pass is hands down one of the most iconic mountain roads
in New Zealand. Winding its way through the stunning Southern
Alps, this epic drive connects the wild West Coast to the laid -back
East. Booked tour will take you to georgeous little westen town
Springfield where you can enjoy nature trails or jet boating. Once
back in the van we head towards Castle Hill. These weathered
limestone rocks sit proudly on the tussocky hills. From there you
will be headed to Arthur’s pass village On the way you will be able
to see the beautiful backdrop of the majestic Southern Alps up
close.
